Page Plus Cellular[+] is a provider of prepaid cell phone service. Though coverage is available nearly nationwide, customers in certain states are the only ones who can establish service. They have unlimited data plans so you can use your device however you wish. With Page Plus, you cannot use your device outside of the United States, and no international coverage is available.

Data Services Available from Page Plus Cellular

The official page class coverage map indicates that the majority of the country has EVDO data coverage. There are some areas of the country out in the west in: Texas, Nevada, Colorado, and a few other states where voice only coverage is available. There are also lots of areas scattered throughout the country where you are roaming, which typically means you will be paying extra for your service when in these areas. There are a few areas where no coverage is available in the majority of these areas are from Texas, west.

  • 3G:The coverage map[+] shows wide availability for EVDO 3G coverage. EVDO[+] stands for evolution data only/evolution data optimized. It is a type of 3G mobile broadband technology that Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel use. This technology provides typical download speeds of anywhere between 600 and 1400 K bps, with bursts up to 3100 K bps. It is not the same as HSPA technology, which is another 3G mobile broadband technology used by AT&T and T-Mobile.
  • 4G: At this time, Page Plus Cellular does not appear to offer 4G coverage.
  • LTE:At this time, Page Plus Cellular does not appear to offer 4G LTE coverage.
  • WiMax:No WiMax coverage is available with Page Plus Cellular.
  • WiFi:WiFI hotspots are not provided by Page Plus, but if you have a phone capable of connecting to the Internet with WiFi, you can use any network you have access to.

Special Considerations for 3G4GLTE Coverage with Page Plus Cellular

Remember, the coverage map is provided as an informational tool only. Even though the map indicates coverage should be available in your area doesn’t mean it will be. Pay attention to “roaming” areas as well, because usage in these areas may cost extra, depending on the terms and conditions of your plan. There is no word as to when or where 4G coverage will become available with this provider.

    10% off all monthly plans for Page Plus. So far the best deal I have seen. They also sell 4G sim cards for page plus.
